You are hearing correctly! The peeping sounds coming from the third grade hallway means the chicks have hatched! The third grade students are finishing up an embryology unit. In this unit students have focused much of their time on the growing embryo. Time was also spent learning about the parts of an egg. Students made connections in regards to producers and commodities, proving that agriculture is more than just farming. Of course if you ask any third grade student they will tell you the end result is the best part! Students are able to interact and observe the behaviors of these fuzzy creatures!
